Public Peer and Recovery Support Specialist Certification

Join our exciting, free 5-day course designed for those driven to create positive change! Participants will receive a Peer and Recovery Support Specialist Certification, recognized by AHCCCS, qualifying them to work in various behavioral health settings across Arizona.

Course Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Training: Aligned with AHCCCS AMPM policy 963, focusing on core competencies, practical skills, and cultural competency.
  • Rich Curriculum: Explore the history of Peer Services in mental health and substance use treatment, and discover the latest evidence-based practices.
  • Celebrate Recovery: Gain insights to support others on their recovery journeys.

Course Details:

  • Dates: October 14th-18th, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Orientation: Scheduled the week before the course

Requirements:

  • Self-Identification: Attendees must identify as individuals with lived experience of mental health conditions and/or substance use, in which they have sought support for and have sustained recovery to share.
  • Technology: Access to a device capable of using Microsoft Teams is required.
  • Full Participation: Required to obtain the credential.
