Opioid Treatment Program

What is the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP)

The Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) is an outpatient addiction treatment established for patients living with opioid use disorder. OTPs use Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), primarily Methadone and Buprenorphine for the management of opioid use disorder.  In addition to medication, we provide counseling, groups, and other behavioral care services for patients with OUD.  People being treated for OUD with medications can expect a decrease in opioid cravings, opioid relapse, and Illicit opioid use in individuals on the right dose.  OTPs and management with MOUD is recognized by the Substance Abuse and Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), and the World Health Organization (WHO) as the gold-standard therapeutic approach for treating people with OUD.
