This is an educational presentation focusing on the importance of healthy self-esteem in children and teenagers, to support their overall well-being and build lasting confidence and positive self-image. This training explores the way individual experiences can impact self-esteem of young people, identifies characteristics of young people with high or low self-esteem, and provides suggestions for talking with youth, and helping them to increase their confidence. The presentation also provides many different resources for community and national supports, as well as apps, journals, and activities designed specifically for youth and teens

Teens in the Know: The Risk of Underage Drinking

The risk of underage drinking offers an in-depth look at the dangers of adolescent underage drinking. Participants will gain an understanding of the risky behavior associated with alcohol consumption, the health risks and the legal consequences of underage drinking. Participants will leave with strategies for resistance and have the opportunity to test fatal vision goggles to provide a realistic understanding of impairment.
