Slopefest
Slopefest is taking place on Saturday March 28th from 8am – 2pm at Palma Park in Phoenix. This is an annual family-friendly community festival in Sunnyslope. The event is Hosted by the East Sunnyslope Neighborhood Association & Block Watch, and features local entertainment, vendors, and the Tour de Sunnyslope bike ride. It serves as a community gathering to connect residents with local resources and police. The event is free and is designed to bring the community together and showcase the Sunnyslope neighborhood. Growing Confident Kids
This is an educational presentation focusing on the importance of healthy self-esteem in children and teenagers, to support their overall well-being and build lasting confidence and positive self-image. This training explores the way individual experiences can impact self-esteem of young people, identifies characteristics of young people with high or low self-esteem, and provides suggestions for talking with youth, and helping them to increase their confidence. The presentation also provides many different resources for community and national supports, as well as apps, journals, and activities designed specifically for youth and teens

Be in the Know: Understanding Vaping Culture, oils, Marijuana and Safety Among Teens
Examine the dangers and risks of electronic nicotine delivery systems including vaporizers. Participants will gain knowledge on the effects of nicotine, and marijuana on the developing brain and body and what electronic delivery systems contain. Participants will leave with resources and tools to share with youth.
